Welcome

Ideasplace is a space for information useful to people who make stuff, either for fun or for work (or both).

It contains links to manufacturers, suppliers and other pages of information that we have found along our way that we think might be be helpful to fellow makers and other like-minded curious creative people. We hope that the content here is useful to you too.

If you like our site and feel happy that we share these pages (or even not so much), please let us know on feedback@ideasplace.wiki - we would love to hear from you, but please always be nice.

The site is in no way finished - nor will it ever probably. Ideasplace is under continual development and updates so if you see something that is inaccurate, if there is something that you would like removed or if there is something we are blatently missing that you would like posted, please email us to let us know.

About our site

Ideasplace was set up for a group of friends to share information and links. We have left it available to all because we thought it might be useful to the community as a whole, however it is worth remembering that our little site is not sponsored or externally funded - ideasplace.wiki is purely a non-profit enthusiast site that was founded on the basis of sharing and collaboration, so please share and contribute if you are able. If for some reason traffic does start to make things unsupportable we may provide some way of donating or merchandising at some point but it's not a problem currently.

-Web links to external sites are not in any particular order of preference, they are just a list that grows over time - we are not playing favourites! Occasionally we may 'tidy things up' a little and so re-organise stuff a bit but this is for access or neatness reasons. We will try and keep links consistent over time, however there may be occasions when links do change due to more significant updates to the wiki. Some stuff may be linked in multiple places where appropriate.

If site moderators see something that they suspect to be contentious, we will remove it - no matter how long you spent making it look nice on this platform.
