UK Band Plan 4m

4M / 70 Mhz

In the UK the 70MHz (4 Metre) band is allocated with Secondary status.

It is available on the basis of non-interference to other services inside or outside of the UK.

For Full Licensees the power limit is restricted to 160W (22dBW) – lower than normal.

  • 70.200 Mhz – SSB Calling
  • 70.260 Mhz – AM/FM Calling
  • 70.450 Mhz – FM Calling
  • 70.000 Mhz to 70.090 Mhz @ 1 kHz - Propagation Beacons Only
  • 70.090 Mhz to 70.100 Mhz @ 1 kHz - Personal Beacons
  • 70.100 Mhz to 70.250 Mhz @ 2.7 kHz - Narrow Band Modes
  • 70.185 Mhz – Crossband activity centre
  • 70.200 Mhz – CW/SSB Calling
  • 70.250 Mhz – MS calling
  • 70.250 Mhz to 70.294 Mhz @ 12 kHz - All Modes
  • 70.260 Mhz – AM/FM Calling
  • 70.270 Mhz – MGM Centre of activity
  • 70.294 Mhz to 70.500 Mhz @ 12 kHz - All modes channelised operations using 12.5 kHz spacing.
  • 70.3000 Mhz
  • 70.3125 Mhz – Digital Modes
  • 70.3250 Mhz – DX Cluster
  • 70.3375 Mhz – Digital Modes
  • 70.3500 Mhz – Internet voice gateway
  • 70.3625 Mhz – Internet voice gateway
  • 70.3750 Mhz – May be used for Emergency Comms & Community Events
  • 70.3875 Mhz – Internet voice gateway
  • 70.4000 Mhz – May be used for Emergency Comms & Community Events
  • 70.4125 Mhz – Internet voice gateway
